With a displacement of 1997 cc and the world-exclusive BMW Twin Turbo Power technology on twin-scroll turbocharger, delivers High Precision Injection, double-VANOS and Valvetronic, maximum output of 180 kW/245 hp at 5,000 rpm – 55 kW more than the previous top-powered BMW 2.0-liter gasoline engine. From 0 to 100 km / h (62 mph) sprint time is 6.1 seconds (automatic: 6.5 seconds), an improvement of 0.7 seconds (automatic: 0.3 seconds) compared with the previous model, the only automatic. The standard BMW EfficientDynamics technologies include – among other functions – Brake Energy Regeneration, Optimum Shift Indicator A, the Auto Start-Stop function and on-demand management of ancillary units. An optional eight-speed automatic version is also available. The very high internal efficiency, these models offer the same transfer, fuel consumption and emissions for the manual version.
As a standard specification, the new xDrive BMW X1 xDrive28i equipped with the BMW four-wheel-drive system, the electronically controlled multi-coupling constant tends to vary power between front and rear axle. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) integrates and react quickly to the first signs of tar-or understeer. The result is improved traction on slippery roads or even off-road dynamics and a better angle. xDrive is calibrated for optimum driving dynamics, which turns to be precise steering. In addition, specified the optional Performance Control system, suitable to drive the drive torque to the rear wheels for more agile performance.
